Here at DriveTown we have this 2013 Toyota Avensis Wagon.

One of Toyota's priorities for the new Avensis was to increase the European look and feel of a car that traditionally has maintained a Japanese ambience in spite of being partly designed and engineered, and entirely built, in Europe. The programmes chief engineer, Takashi Yamamoto, even drove 3000 miles across Europe to gain a feel for the culture here, while 35 European engineers were dispatched to Japan to influence the design from there.

In setting its priorities for the new Toyota Avensis, Toyota wanted a car that was more agile than its predecessor but no less stable and with even better ride comfort. The Avensis is quick to change direction, steers accurately and grips well. Fully use the chassiss capabilities and the engines punch and the Avensis can be moved along quite briskly.

It is hard not to be impressed by the tightly constructed dash, close-fitting materials and overall feeling of indestructibility. Wed wager that if you were to take the current crop of family saloons and drive them for 100,000km, it would be the Toyotas interior that would fare best.
